More than 50 people come along to our Good News Group which meets every Wednesday in term time, from 5.30-7.15 pm and is open to all adults with learning (or other) disabilities. It is led by a friendly, caring team who offer craft activities, a light tea and the opportunity to learn about the good news of the Bible in a way that is appropriate and accessible to this group of people.
Working in partnership with Christians Against Poverty we offer the CAP Money course which is designed to help people think through their financial priorities and manage their money better. We work with other local churches to access the wider services provided by CAP; their job clubs, their brilliant service for helping people get out of debt and their new approach to helping those struggling with addiction.
– each Saturday we open the church doors from 10 am – 12 pm for tea, coffee and home-made cakes – all welcome. This is a great chance to meet some St Andrew’s regulars in a relaxed setting.
– meets alternate Wednesdays at 2 pm in the church hall to encourage each other in our walk with the Lord.
– a ladies’ fellowship that meets fortnightly at 7.45 pm in the church hall. The varied programme includes quizzes, interesting speakers on unusual topics, Christian teaching and meals out.
– this group meets on the first Wednesday of every month and provides a two course meal and fellowship for the over 80s. If you don't have transport don't worry - the team arrange pick up and drop off for everyone who comes.
