Sunday Service - Sunday 19th JulyPsalms

This Sunday we continue our new sermon series, looking at Psalms. We will be worshipping together, even though we can't physically be together in the same building, at 10.30am via our service online.

Please find below the service information, including song lyrics so you can follow and join in wherever you are, alternatively click here for the service sheet.

If you have one, it would be good to have a Bible close to hand, for the reading which is Psalm 92, or you can access the Bible reading online here

10.30am Sunday 19th July

Welcome and Introduction

Opening Prayer

Song: Praise to the Lord the Almighty

Praise to the Lord the Almighty
The King of creation
O my soul praise Him for He is thy health and salvation
All ye who hear brothers and sisters draw near
Praise Him in glad adoration

Praise to the Lord who over all things
So wondrously reigneth
Shelters thee under His wings yea so gently sustaineth
Hast thou not seen all that is needful hath been
Granted in what He ordaineth

Praise to the Lord who doth prosper
Thy work and defend thee
Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do
Who with His love doth befriend thee

Praise to the Lord
O let all that is in me adore Him
All that hath life and breath
Come now with praises before Him
Let the amen sound from His people again
Gladly for aye we adore Him

Confession
ALL: Lord, we have sinned: We lift up our voice to you and cry for your mercy. There is no one else to whom we can go: save us from our sins and from temptations that are too strong for us. Set us free, that we may praise your name;through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Kid’s Slot

Collect:
ALL: Merciful God, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as pass our understanding: pour into our hearts such love toward you that we, loving you in all things and above all things, may obtain your promises, which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Sermon

Song: Every Promise

From the breaking of the dawn
To the setting of the sun
I will stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
Words of power strong to save
That will never pass away
I will stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
For Your covenant is sure
And on this I am secure
I can stand on ev'ry promise of Your word

When I'm faced with anguished choice
I will listen for Your voice
And I'll stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
Through this dark and troubled land
You will guide me with Your hand
As I stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
And You've promised to complete
Ev'ry work begun in me
So I'll stand on ev'ry promise of Your word

Hope that lifts me from despair
Love that casts out ev'ry fear
As I stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
Not forsaken not alone
For the Comforter has come
And I stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
Grace sufficient grace for me
Grace for all who will believe
We will stand on ev'ry promise of Your word

Ending
Grace sufficient grace for me
Grace for all who will believe
We will stand on ev'ry promise of Your word
