Sunday Service - Sunday 28th June

Scattered

We are looking forward to worshipping together even though we can't physically be together in the same building, at 10.30am we will broadcast our service online.

Please find below the service information, including song lyrics so you can follow and join in wherever you are, alternatively click here for the service sheet.

If you have one, it would be good to have a Bible close to hand, for the reading which is 1 Peter 5:1-14, or you can access the Bible reading online here

Also, if you know anybody who can't watch online, we have a phone line service, they just need to call this local number - 01772 347858 to listen along.

Welcome and Introduction

Opening Prayer

Song: My Jesus My Saviour
My Jesus my Saviour
Lord there is none like You
All of my days I want to praise
The wonders of Your mighty love
My comfort my shelter
Tower of refuge and strength
Let every breath all that I am
Never cease to worship You

Shout to the Lord all the earth let us sing
Power and majesty praise to the King
Mountains bow down and the seas will roar
At the sound of Your name
I sing for joy at the work of Your hands
Forever I'll love You forever I'll stand
Nothing compares to the promise I have in You

Confession
ALL: Lord our God,
in our sin we have avoided your call.
Our love for you is like a morning cloud,
like the dew that goes away early.
Have mercy on us; deliver us from judgement;
bind up our wounds and revive us;
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayers

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever. Amen.

Sermon

Song: God is our refuge and strength
God is our strength and refuge
Our present help in trouble
And we therefore will not fear
Though the earth should change
Though mountains shake and tremble
Though swirling floods are raging
God the Lord of hosts is with us evermore

There is a flowing river
Within God's holy city
God is in the midst of her
She shall not be moved
God's help is swiftly given
Thrones vanish at His presence
God the Lord of hosts is with us evermore

Come see the works of our Maker
Learn of His deeds all-powerful
Wars will cease across the world
When He shatters the spear
Be still and know your Creator
Uplift Him in the nations
God the Lord of hosts is with us evermore
